The reporting for smaller investors could be better. I feel like the big institutional guys get all the info, while the rest of us are waiting for the quarterly call to find out what’s actually going on with the portfolio.

Their Starwood Property Trust (STWD) is a beast. They managed to deploy over $115 billion since they started. If you want exposure to real estate debt with a team that actually understands the underlying brick and mortar, they're the ones.
